Need of Lady Empowerment

Though we are living in a civilized society where everyone has certain rights irrespective of the caste, sex, religion of a person but still there are much problems that are being faced by women in society. Especially in the patriarchal society which is male dominated women enjoy least rights and are also least protected. Some of the common problem that are being faced by women is eve teasing. Staring eyes of harassers are annoying. Eachand every second makes anyone uncomfortable to roam freely and also often facing such problems what a women are getting is just little sympathy from society and most of the people of society are keeping judgmental views for victims are treat them like the problem are being themselves created by the victims by walking along on the street or roaming late night. These biased view of the society lower the morals of the victim and boost the victim to repeat their heinous acts. If women have to keep the pace with the man they have to participate in almost every decent job. So for this it is necessary to compete with their working hours also.

Even in the case of eve teasing, police also keep a very lethargic view by giving different types of excuses for not lodging the FIR, though different acts and police reforms are being introduced so that it can help women to lodge them complain conveniently like opening of women police station in all areas but these step would only succeed if there would be joint support of society as well as the authority. If a girl residing out of the town or studies or job, parents are always concerned about the safety of their girl, these type of issues and difficulties can be solved if police and administration justify their duties.

After vishakha case the apex court has given several guidelines which are yet to be implemented, though the judgment was for the harassment of women at workplace but the harassment is not just limited to only in physical form, it could also exist in the form of mental harassment like loss of confidence, etc.

Apart from these problem there are other problems that are being faced by women such as job freedom, though after the liberalisation many job opportunities that is being created but the restriction on the women remain the same, job freedom is now also a dream from women prospect. Job freedom is also much related with education, most of the parents today realising the need of education for girls but still they are not ready to send their daughter to persue certain types of cources such as engineering which is still male dominated, especially parents belonging to north region such as Bihar and UP are hesitant to send their daughters to fashion world because they still consider this field as unethical and many stereo types are also in the minds of parents about this field exist. Without proper education job freedom is always a distant dream.
